What is Raw Data

Raw data may have different meaning for different people and technologies. In our service, since we moved to sequencing platforms, we usually referer to FASTQ files as raw data.

Raw data provides access to the raw FASTQ files generated for each sample sequenced. This is the complete sequence and quality information provided in the industry standard FASTQ output.

If you request raw data as part of your order, you will receive individual FASTQ files including a file for each successful sample and replicates.

If your analysis requires the read depth per allele per sample style of raw data, please also request for 'Counts Information' to be provided. Counts information provides a convenient 2 row report in a data format similar to the SNP 2 row output.
