The Cloud Management page allows you to monitor and manage your personal cloud computing usage within the OneDArT platform. It provides a clear overview of how much has been spent and and how much remains, enabling you to stay within budget and use cloud resources efficiently.
The Personal Cloud Usage section shows:
Budget: Your total budget
Spent/Remaining: The total you have spent and the total you have remaining (together should equal the budget)
note
OneDArT is currently in a testing phase so testers are allocated credit for free. Once the full version is released, you will be able to purchase credit within the Online Ordering system.
Instance Management
Instance management helps you stay within budget while ensuring your cloud resources are used efficiently. This includes:
View the start time and how long an instance has been running
Start an instance when you need to use it
Stop an instance when it’s no longer needed
Set or edit schedules to automatically control instance runtime
Starting/Stopping an Instance
You can start and stop an instance manually from the Cloud Management page at any time. This enables you to have more control of the resources that you use with OneDArT.
To check if an instance is running, just check the Time Running column of the Instance list. If the instance is running, it will display the uptime. Any instance that is not running will say Instance Stopped. The green row of a running instance and the red row of a stopped instance are also an indicator.
Simply select the Start or Stop buttons on the relevant instance to start or stop it.
tip
An instance will be ready to use a couple of minutes after you select the Start button.
Scheduling Instances
Automating the uptime of your instance can also save you time, effort, and resources.
