How to cancel or edit data shares

Overview:

Once you have made a data share, you can cancel and/or edit the data share on the ‘List Data Shares’ page. All individual data shares have a unique alphanumeric  ‘Authorisation Token’.

How to cancel a data share/authorisation token

  1. To cancel a data share, navigate to the ‘List Data Shares’s Page.
  2. Search or select the specific data share you want to cancel. 
  3. Click the red  ‘x’ icon on the right hand side of the data share table.
Tip
You can cancel multiple data shares simultaneously by selecting the check box next to each order and clicking the ‘Cancel selected token(s) button on the bottom left.

Important
Once you cancel a data share it cannot be restored. You will need to create a New Data Share.  Read How to share data for more information.

How to edit a data share:

You can edit an existing data share to:

  • Add or remove recipients
  • Add or remove service/orders or files
  1. To edit an existing data share, navigate to the ‘List Data Shares’ Page and select the Orange edit button next to the relevant service/order.
  2. To add or remove recipients, use the add/remove buttons next to the Recipient Email Address field. You can edit the configuration of your data share e.g. by adding or removing files or recipients then clicking the ‘Update data share button’.
  3. Once your update is completed, you will receive a confirmation message.
Tip
There are three types of data sharing to choose from when you initially create the data share. This cannot be changed. If you want to change the type of data share e.g. from Limited access to Full access you need to cancel the data share and create a new data share.
